I was onto "this one" from the moment she first approached me and asked to DM (something I am loath to do, because I don't have a secret agenda to hide form the group) and immediately started in gossipping about fellow members "TKSpeedy" and "Rose_Carter". It's a rapport- building mean-girl tactic that doesn't work on me. Adding to the creepiness, she plied me for information about you and told me that she had posted a pretty version of herself on Twitter solely to see if she could attract you. I could smell a manipulative liar, and I unfollowed her. She doesn't like that. A narcissist, she expects pure loyalty from her acolytes and immediately figured me for an enemy. I wasn't one then, but I sure am now, because I have watched her manipulate the board, swing the conversation to herself in every situation, distract the thread with something banal before anyone else can develop an interesting thought, and suck up sweetly to those she mocks when their backs are turned... What piece of work!
Oh, but wasn't she as good as gold yesterday... Knowing she's caught. Only once did she monopolize the convo, "What does "blood" signify? Can you help widdle me with "blood"? I have a book next month with "blood" in the title, and it's all about me, so let"s talk about the meaning of blood, "cause I'm not suwe, waahh, wahhh, wahh..." That"s the level of literacy we're dealing with... And even THAT was a superior discussion by far to most of the starstruck navel-gazing that goes on at book club. Most of the best readers are already gone, or participate so much less, they're practically gone. Aimlessaimers found another page on which to discuss books, puccinigirl and nyquilforme, two of the better readers, are hardly ever there...
And if you think you've escaped her derision, oh yeah, to your face, you have... That's why, on this occasion, when she tweeted that she needed to delete her evil tweets (she has already deleted all the nasty things she had to say in our private DM - hypocrite that she is) I made sure to screenshot the exchange while it still existed. It was hard to do, because I was shaking from seeing her behaviour in your absence.
Comfort yourself, though, you're not alone. She has ill-used everyone she can get away with in their absence. That's the kind of two-faced viper you're dealing with.
And as for Old Strings, these two found each other for a reason. The transcript speaks for itself.
