Did you enjoy your visit to GoJoTV?
The Comedy Zone - A U.K. Site
This exhaustive but hardly
exhausting humour site from the U.K. is both entertaining and well organized.
A wellspring of jokes and comedy links, this is the place for the bored to
start surfing!
Witwords.com - Featuring the "Fictionary of Witty Words"
Just when you thought smart, gentle humour was dead, along comes "Witwords",
a site dedicated to the comedy high road. This appealing site features a "Fictionary
of Witty Words",
which you can read or to which you can submit your own ideas.
Very original and funny, it's a site
you'll want to include in your favourites!
March Hare - The Band
I can't say enough good things about the
times I got to work with March Hare. They are consummate professionals,
and a pleasure to hear. But don't just take it from me... Check out their site
for the latest news!
Gojo-Music - England's Black Country Rock Phenomenon
O.K., How cool is this? Somewhere in England's "Black Country", there's a band
whose members think along the same lines as I... and not only when it comes to
choosing a name for themselves. Here's a quote from their homepage:
"Gojo' Music blends together elements of blues, funk, soul and reggae with the
passion/attitude of punk rock to produce a rockin' groovin' organic mix of rhythms..."
Yeah, real music again! But you've gotta go to their page to witness the rest!
Cheryl Schuh - Indie Musician
Cheryl has released her first album,
"TRUE", which makes excellent Sunday-afternoon listening. And she is the
subject of a heartwarming, true Christmas tale which is currently airing on
"GOJOTV.com"
just in time for the 2004 holidays! You can see it by
clicking here.
Mike Kovacs and the Post-Modern Tribe - Indie Musicians
This is the second CD for "Mike Kovacs and the Post-Modern Tribe" whose single,
"Shopgirl" was inspired by Steve Martin's book of the same name. But don't
wait to hear it on GOJOradio... Check out the site for show dates and a sample
of the "Post-Modern" sound!
Kentish Steele and the Shantelles - 1960's Vancouver Soul
For those of you who've scrolled down this far, a treat... This, as they put it
colloquially, is "da shee-it." A friend of mine gave me an album by his old band
from the High School days. We listened to it while driving around Vancouver on
a sunny day, and I believe that my jaw may have been permanently unhinged by
the experience. Can you say "agog"? If you've lost that lovin' music feelin', you
have to recapture the essence of real, live, ass-kickin soul. This album deserves
reverence. NOTE: Gifted "Streetheart" and "Loverboy" guitarist Paul Dean is among
the luminaries on this album. A must for collectors and serious music aficionados.
Black Country Podcasting - Cool, Independent Internet Radio
This weekly podcast from Roosters Studio mingles a love of Black Country talent with a
window on the wider arts and music world. The "lustful voice"ed auteur, Laurence Hipkiss,
(Sorry, Laurence, I had to say it)
offers you free podcasts to download and to enjoy whenever you want. An instant success
with listeners around the world, it'll change the way you use your mp3 device. And if you like
what you hear, his show's archives can be downloaded from
his Roosters Studio site.
Note: I recorded a live, impromptu version of "Desperado" with Gary Oliver of
"Gojo-Music"
while visiting the Studio in July of 2005. It can be heard on "Show 5".

Ask Jeeves - Search Engine
This is the only search engine on the web
which rates with "Google" for fun and user-friendliness. And, since "Ask Jeeves"
is a boolean search engine, it's the logical place to try if you didn't find what you
were looking for on "Google". (BONUS: "Ask Jeeves" was the first search engine to
find and to prominently display GOJOTV on the net!)
Class Action against Fraudsters
This woman, Deborah Hansen of B.C., owes
thousands of dollars and refuses to repay her creditors. Find out about her and her
ex-partner, Harold (Gavril) Evdokimoff and how you can get help in your fight against
con artists who may be preying on you and your family.
Then tell somebody!
